One of the things I liked best about Penang was how much time we spent by the sea, sometimes unintentionally. It wasn't Bali-gorgeous, but still so blue, brilliant and calming.
I didn't know Penang was famous for its beaches (if it isn't it should be!) - so many photos of Penang on my blog reader these days, makes me want to go so bad. :)
Penang's food & historical attractions tend to overshadow its beaches and other attractions a bit - I didn't even know Penang had a turtle nesting site until I was there! It's definitely an interesting island :)
That blue! Took my breath away :)

Deleteit's like a wave, you look far away to find beauty, and then you float back in the backwash to realise it's just next to you.
